Chickadee Wall Quilt

Chickadee Wall Quilt

My friend Corinne designed this adorable Chickadee block pattern and it was too perfect not to make for Easter/Spring! I absolutely love her design style and the way she uses shapes!

This little guy comes in a 12" or 16" block pattern, so I went with (4) of the 16" blocks to make a Chickadee wall hanging. I chose 4 different bright colors that scream spring. Seriously awesome!!!

For the fabrics I used Riley Blake Confetti Cottons. They come in so many great colors!

It's been a while since I just used solids, so I loved being able to find just the right ones! I decided on ⁣Confetti Cottons Solids in Azure, Orchid, Riley Hot Pink, Riley Lime, Lemon Zest, Mac and Cheese, and White. Plus I went with this awesome 1/2" stripes for the binding.⁣

Then I went with a simple organic wave to give it some good texture!

And I was able to actually trek out to the park to get some great outdoor pictures! I'm definitely going to have to do this more often.

I love the way these colors all play together with that 1/2" striped binding. Seriously adorbs!!! This pattern is two thumbs up!

I think these are my favorite pictures. There weren't many flowers since we had that big freeze but there was a lot of green stuff at least!

I'm excited to add this wall hanging to my spring decoration collection!

You can check out the Confetti Cotton Solids HERE at the Fat Quarter Shop and get Corinne's Chickadee pattern HERE.

Until later, happy sewing!
Jamie
