Make it Modern Pillows with RBD - August

I'm back with installment #8 of my 2022 Make it Modern Pillows series for Riley Blake Designs! I'll be posting a new modern 18" pillow design the second week of every month! In case you missed July's pillow design, you can see my post HERE! 

This month’s pillow features a new Dapple Dot collection from Riley Blake Designers. The colors I used (in order from left to right) were Silver, Riley Grey, Storm, Stargazer, and Navy. 

 

 

I used some Half Square Triangles (HSTs) to create multi-colored triangles. So this palette is way more mellow than what I normally use but I love it! The transparency is so fun! 

 

 

And I'm still in rocking matchstick quilting!

Each month the pillows will be featuring a different Riley Blake Basics collection, but of course I had to be a little extra. I decided to pick 5 of my favorite Confetti Cottons solids and make each block into a quilt sampler.

Here's my second block! I love these colors! I used Mermaid, Scuba, Mac n' Cheese, Riley Lime, and Riley Hot Pink. Each month along with my pillow, I'll show you the "brights" version of each quilt and at the end I'll reveal the final sampler quilt!
