So you know how I made a bunch of pillow patterns for the Make it Modern series last year with Riley Blake Designs? Good news, the fun is back this year with 12 MORE!!!
These fresh new designs for 2023 are my usual 18" bold and geometric blocks. I opted for a few more colors per pillow (most have 8), but they are still quick, easy, and scrap friendly! I'll be posting them the third Thursday of every month. In case you missed the 2022 pillow designs, you can see them here!.
This month’s block features a new Dapple Dot collection from the RDB Designers. The 6 colors I used (from top to bottom) are Sugar Pink, Frosting, Canyon Rose, Marsala, Silver, and Riley Grey.
January's Pillow reminds me of elevator buttons, so I named it Lively Lift!
While the colors here are a bit subdued from my normal bright colors, I love the mellow combination.
And instead of matchstick quilting that I did last year, I picked a classic grid at 1/2" with my 50wt Aurifil thread.
