I've been trying to branch out a bit from using only solids and I when I saw this new Midsummer Meadow collection by Katherine Lenius for Riley Blake Fabrics, I knew that I had to get my hands on some!
It's just so pretty! The teal and pink color combos are so dreamy!
For this project, I actually decided to write a new pattern with a classic herringbone design called "Halfway there". It uses half square triangles (HSTs) to create a parallelogram shape.
I really love how the big blocks showcase these gorgeous prints!
For the backing and the binding, I used the RBD Basic print Blossom in Jade. It is absolutely one of my favorite fabric lines!
What would you make with these pretties??? They're available from Riley Blake Designs now, so check your local LQS or your favorite online shop!
My new "Halfway There" quilt pattern is FREE to all newsletter subscribers. If you haven't subscribed yet, fill out the form below.
Until later, happy sewing!

Wow- just saw this beautiful pattern and the way it showcases the fabrics is terrific! Can’t wait to make my first one!
I love quilt patterns that show off more of the fabric; sometimes it’s a difficult choice whether or not to sacrifice my favorite prints when choosing fabric for a quilt!
Someone amazing must have come up with the name Halfway there! I love seeing you use prints!!!
