Sew In Love Mini Quilt

Sew In Love Mini Quilt

I haven't gotten to sew for fun much in the past year, so I decided it was time for a little break to make something cute that's been on my list for awhile. I purchased the Sew in Love Pattern by Center Street Quilts back in 2019 and it just sat in "patterns to make" folder all sad. Normally a lot of small piecing is not my jam, but doing something different than your normal projects and making a small item is not bad at all! This actually came together really quickly.

For the fabrics, I used various basics by Riley Blake Designs. I wanted to go really bright for my background here so I chose the Texture print in Citron. Texture is one of my favorite basics and designed by Sandy Gervais. It is available is a ton of great colors! Plus it blends well when you are doing small piecing. For the black and white prints, I used 1/8" Stripes, Kisses, Small Dots, and Blossom. The dark pink print is Blossom in Cranberry.

Texture is available is a ton of great colors, plus even though it is kind of a grid pattern, it blends well when you are doing small piecing.

What's funny is that I hardly ever make patterns by anyone else because I'm terrible at actually following directions. LOL Thankfully this has easy traditional piecing steps that I couldn't really mess up!

And I did go a bit bold with the background color so it's very bright. But it came out adorable!

It will definitely make a fun mini for my wall!

For the quilting, I went with a 1/4" diagonal pattern. I really like the texture it gives.

Do you have any small projects on your "to make" list that you've been putting off too? Take some time to do one!

Until later, happy sewing!
Jamie
