Pindrop Retro Rainbow On the Edge Baby Quilt

Pindrop Retro Rainbow On the Edge Baby Quilt

Back in December, I released my On the Edge quilt pattern and I made this rainbow pillow to give away at the Houston MQG Christmas party.

It was a big hit and I've always wanted to make another rainbow version of that quilt. So when I found out that Riley Blake Designs was coming out with a new basics line called Pindrop from Christopher Thompson (AKA The Tattooed Quilter), I knew that's what I wanted to make!

You all know I'm a huge fan of solids and simple prints. I think they really show off a pattern well. And these little pins are so adorable!

I definitely couldn't resist a rainbow baby-sized project with these happy colors! I decided to use the following Pindrop colors: Superpink, Daisy, Lemon Zest, Lettuce, Scuba, and Silver. Then I finished if off with a Confetti Cottons Charcoal Binding.

I usually use white as my background color, but I absolutely love the way this silver looks as the neutral. All together, the colors give this baby quilt a retro rainbow vibe.

Gah! These pins are so cute!

You'll be happy to know that this project is doggo approved! This is also the first time that I have done diagonal quilting like this and I could not be happier with it! You will for sure be seeing more diagonal quilting from me!

It definitely works well as a play mat too!

This new Pindrop collection is available now! So many possibilities! The Scuba color was definitely my favorite color. What's is yours?

And of course, my On the Edge quilt pattern is available either here on my website or in my Etsy store!

Until later, happy sewing!
Jamie
