Summer Shark Bay Celebration

Summer Shark Bay Celebration

I released my Shark Bay pattern back in July 2023 and it's soooo fun! You can read more about it here.

Of course I made my original version in blues, but with the summer rolling around, I decided in May that I wanted to make a couple new versions. So I picked two fun and very different Moda Bella solid palettes from Missouri Star Quilt Company. How pretty are these fabrics?

The "Sunset" warm palette (left) used White, Dahlia, Petunia, Fuchsia, Orange, Marigold, Steel, Graphite, and Silver. The "Lagoon" cool palette (right) used White, Harbor, Horizon Blue, Jade, Bayside, Summer House Lime, Steel, Graphite, and Silver. Below are the colors are mocked up.

And below are the fabrics all sewing together! I love them!

It's been really nice having my Moxie XL longarm and being able to use fun pantographs instead of doing grids on everything. I decided on the Vibrations digital pantograph by Haley over at Mistletoe Quilting Co. It kinda had the feeling of waves.

Tucker also tried to help!

I think the quilting really put the final touch on these super cute quilts! Which is your favorite? Sunset or Lagoon? I honestly can't choose!
