In January I started a new series for 2021 called Jumbo Blocks Rock where I take traditional 12" blocks, upsize them to 18", and give them a modern twist. Each month I've been also making a fun pillow using assorted basics from Riley Blake Designs. In case you missed them, here are the pillows from January, February, March, April, May, June, and July.
For this month I made a Variable Star Remix block which jazzed up the traditional Variable Star block.
The Hashtag fabric the RBD basics collections is really fun! I love the difference in texture you get with the mini and regular-sized prints.
And of course lots of great colors too!
For this month's pillow, I used Mini Hashtag in green, Bee Cross Stitch in Denim , Blossom in Aqua, Texture in Glacier, Pindrop in Scuba, and of course Confetti Cottons solid in White as the background.
These colors are so calming!
I'm still loving the clean edges of no binding, so I think I might keep doing that!

Love this block and will check out the others. Silly me, I kept looking for directions on how to make the curved pieces until I realized that the pillow stuffing created the rounded look!
